Description
Wall flanged juliette balcony
The 4 nr stainless steel wall flanges are used to hold either 42mm or 48mm dia stainless steel slotted channel tube top and bottom rail to the wall. Within the tube will sit a rubber gasket which holds the glass in place. The flanges are in a component form and allow a suitable fixing within (see images).
All stainless steel components have a brushed finish, in grade 316 for external use.
Stainless steel is extremely corrosion and scratch resistant due to its composition, but it will always need maintenance, particularly in challenging conditions. Mechanical and/or chemical effects can also impair or destroy the passive layer during installation. We recommend treating the entire surface with Q-ultra-clean after installation to help ensure a strong passive layer, durable protection and long-lasting looks. Please also refer to our Mounting and maintenance of stainless steel page.
This system is flexible and allows you to use the bars horizontally, or vertically. Horizontal bars will generally use toughened glass infill panels. Vertical bars will require toughened laminated glass (as there is no guardrail).
Usually the glass will cover your opening span and then the tube will run on approx 81.5mm either side, plus the width of the flange (37mm) = 118.5mm either side (237mm total).
Images for illustration purposes only. Clear glass will be supplied as standard, unless otherwise requested (we can offer tinted, obscured etc).
