Although we are not a glass manufacturer ourselves, we have a number of companies from which we source panels.
If you order through balustradeglass.co.uk we will arrange everything for you, including delivery.
Please contact us with your requirements, including dimensions (if possible) and we will get back to you with costings.
Balustrades
Numerous products are supplied for the balustrade industry from standard 10mm toughened glass infill panels to 19mm structural glass and also toughened laminate. Balustrade panels can also be screen printed or sandblasted with all over coverage or designs if required.
Stair Treads / Glass Floors
A number of thicknesses are available depending on the application ranging from 35.5mm toughened laminated glass to 33.5mm triple laminated glass. We also offer a sand blasted finish for grip and or sand blasted sight line grooves.
Standard lead-time on toughened glass is 3 – 6 working days however an express service is available on all products if required.
Toughened Glass is manufactured by heating annealed glass to approximately 620 degrees Celsius and then cooled rapidly in a controlled environment. The result is a tempered panel which if broken will fragment in small relatively harmless pieces.
Heat Soaked glass Heat soaking is a process that complies with BS EN 14179. In this process the glass is heated and maintained at a high temperature then slowly cooled in a heat soak oven which encourages the conversion of the Nickel Sulphide inclusion to its more stable form, thus resulting in fewer spontaneous breakages on site.
Toughened laminate glass is available in 11.5mm toughened – 39.5mm toughened. Triple laminate is also available. Screen print / sandblast can also be used in conjunction with laminated glass to achieve virtually any desired finish such as dot matrix or logo designs.
Screen Printed glass is available in any Ral number ( view ral chart ) in a etch or block out finish.
Designs are also available such as logos or dot matrix finish; please discuss this with a member of the processing team. Samples available on request.
Sand Blasted glass is available as an all over finish or can be used in a design. Ritec coating is also available to help prevent grease marks and fingerprints etc.
